COVID 19 Health Policy                         

 Pick Up/Drop off

  • Please no more than 1 adult picking up your child at a time, all others remain in the vehicle. Try to limit siblings coming into building if at all possible. If siblings need to come with you to pick up your child, they will not be permitted to play with toys or on the playground. Please remember to keep a two-meter distance from other parents.

  • Your first day back you may drop off inside to get your child settled. Before you enter the building use hand sanitizer for yours and your child’s hands. Please follow same procedure at pickup.

  • After your first drop-off, parents and others will not be permitted inside the building, except in an emergency situation. All pickups will be done at the front white gate (or back gate if we are already at the outside play area) and drop offs will be done at the Cherry Tree front door, the Educator will greet you outside the door and help sanitize your child’s hands 

Sickness Policy

·       If your child or anyone in your household is ill, please do not bring your child(ren) to daycare during this time. If your child has ANY of the following symptoms: sore throat, fever, coughing, vomiting, diarrhea, runny nose, they MUST NOT come to daycare.

·       Please assess your child’s health daily for any of these symptoms before sending them to daycare.

·       If at any point during the day, your child becomes ill, daycare staff will remove your child from the other children and contact you to pick them up immediately.

Staff sickness policy

If a staff member is sick before the start of their shift they are to contact the manager to arrange coverage for the day and 10 days after symptoms appear.

If a staff member becomes sick during the day they should go home as soon as possible. If you are unable to leave right away, you should: 

  • separate yourself away from others

  • maintain a distance of 2 meters from others

  • use a mask or tissue to cover nose and mouth while waiting for a replacement or to be picked up

  • other staff must clean and disinfect the space where the staff member was separated and any area used by them. 

Hand washing Procedures will take place as follows:
