Becoming and Early Childhood Educator and opening a centre is a dream that began for me years ago when I was still in Peru ; I worked as a nanny and knew that providing children the love and education that would open doors of opportunity was the true calling of my heart. Each child has been created so special and unique, and I am so privileged to be entrusted to aiding their parents to see them flourish. The work of children is Play.. believe me, we are very busy at this serious task in Cherry Tree. Our wonderful centre has been open now since fall 2006. I received my ECCE from Camosun College, Victoria in 2002.

Curious
children and their insatiable thirst to learn delight me. My interest was piqued
18 years ago when my then fiancé Enma, was studying to become an Early Childhood Educator at Camosun College. As an artist, I knew I could contribute a creative
element to early learning. With input from Enma, I designed an addition to our
Chemainus home. We opened Cherry Tree in 2006. Endorsement from happy families
confirmed that our commitment to excellent care and education for young
children was a benefit to this small community. From 2013 to 2105, I
studied to receive my Certificate of Early Childhood Education from Lethbridge
College. With this new feather in my cap I am now able to join the team that
makes Cherry tree special.
